D.G.T. Association has organized the dissemination event “Who wants to be a….Sporty volunteer” in February 2023 in Bucharest, Romania. The central theme of these events is volunteering in sport areas, which brought together current and former volunteers and organizations engaged in sport volunteering projects. This event aimed to foster learning and sharing within the community and provide valuable insights into the world of volunteering.

The primary target group of this event were young individuals passionate about sports, with a keen interest in volunteering, either abroad or locally. This event provided them with valuable information about the kind of activities that can be undertaken in European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering projects within the sports sector.

The event had the following objectives:

◉ To spotlight the NEXT project and its anticipated outcomes.

◉ To enhance awareness and comprehension of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programs.

◉ To provide young people with access to information about sports volunteering opportunities tailored to their interests.

◉ To create a platform for current and former sports volunteers to share their experiences, bolstering their communication skills and sense of initiative.

◉ To offer NGOs involved in sports volunteering projects an avenue to showcase their initiatives and establish connections with potential future sports volunteers.
